Instagram is a social networking site focusing on visual content. The company allows users to engage with other users by liking, commenting and sharing posts. It has over 1 billion monthly active users, making it one of the largest social networks around. Those who want to see what their friends are up to can do so using the mobile app or website. However, the app only stores a fraction of your posts.
To view your favourites, you must first sign in to your account. From there, you can see your profile page. There are a few options to sort by date, newest to oldest or most liked to least viewed. As with other social media platforms, there are limits to the number of posts you can view. This means you may need to look at other people’s posts to get an idea of what they have been up to recently.

To do this, you need to first scroll down. In the upper right corner of your screen, you’ll find a three-line symbol, which you’ll need to tap on to launch a menu. Next, you’ll need to choose “Your activity” from the list. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be presented with the above-mentioned nifty ole. You’ll then be able to look at your liked posts in chronological order.
Another clever trick you can use is to like, share and comment on your favourites. One of the easiest ways to do this is to click on the post thumbnail to see the full post. After doing that, you can see the other features of the post.
To go even further, you can view your favourites in a grid layout. While this might sound a bit old fashioned, it’s actually quite fun. Also, you can use a Chrome extension called Layoutify to do the same. Alternatively, you can manually count likes on big posts or follow your favourites.
Lastly, there are other aforementioned features of the app. For example, you can like, follow, comment on and save posts from your most popular friends and favourites. If you wish to see your favourites in a more manageable format, you can use the app’s filters to limit the posts you see.

Fortunately, if you’re an iOS or Android user, you’re in luck. In fact, you might have already seen some of these features, but you haven’t. Aside from displaying your favourites, you can also view videos, photos and comments, in case you missed them.
Of course, if you’re really keen on reliving your favorite moments, you can always turn on the Likes widget. Alternatively, you can follow a friend’s public profile to get a more comprehensive view of what they’ve been up to.
Considering the many features that make up the Instagram app, it’s no surprise that it’s become the world’s most popular social networking app. That said, you’ll still need to use common sense to keep it safe and secure. Thankfully, it’s a well-designed and easy-to-use mobile app, so there’s no reason to fret.
